To make it easier and more transparent to connect and handle medical endoscopes from van Vliet in the right way , Scope designed an extensive instruction . The complete manual graphically shows all possible installation situations. This not only improved the reliability and efficiency of working with the endoscopes, but the demand for van Vliet adapter and accessory sets also increased significantly. A good example of a complete development of a product-service system .
Van Vliet approached Scope Design with the question whether we could make an instruction for connecting endoscopes in drying cabinets. The producer of medical products wanted to remove ambiguity and uncertainty about their use.
Scope started by forming an overall picture of the system and the use of the endoscopes. We used a graphical representation to provide insight into how healthcare professionals work with these delicate and expensive surgical equipment.
We developed a step- by-step plan for connecting the endoscopes in the drying cabinet. We made visualizations of all possible installation situations in a complete manual. The manual explains how the endoscopes should be connected with the appropriate accessory or adapter sets. Pictures of the adapter sets indicate which adapters belong to which endoscopes.
By adopting this method, we have not only facilitated the use of the endoscopes for users, but also improved the reliability and efficiency of the work. The feeling of uncertainty has been removed and last, but not least , after the development of the manual, the demand for adapter and accessory sets at Van Vliet has increased sharply!
